Donor Partners Help Make it Happen

  • Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey

We are very excited to share about our donor partners at the Jewish Federation of Southern Jersey. One afternoon, we received a call from Rob Kiewe, their Chief Operating Officer, offering us a donation of a couch and possibly some other furniture, that they were looking to provide a good home (where it would be useful). The timing was perfect as we already had a moving truck rented for later that week.

The couch and “a few other items” turned into almost a full truck of furniture and other items, as J-fed was in process of “cleaning out” some of their storage areas. Not only did they provide us a wonderful donation, but Rob and his fellow employees (Sean, Brandy, and Aaron) physically loaded up the truck in the rain.

Jewish Federation also assists many in both our local community and abroad through a wide array of programs and services with their family of agencies.

We are grateful to the Jewish Federation of South Jersey for the donation and for providing us with an opportunity to help so many people. We look forward to our continued partnership.

  • Carole Weinstock from Clean the Clutter

Carole is a Professional Residential Organizer. She helps people declutter and re-organize their living spaces. In doing so she maximizes and creates more efficient use of the space. The process of Decluttering and Re-organizing helps create a more productive and peaceful lifestyle.

Carole encourages her clients to invest in their well-being. She tells them to focus on what is important to them instead of focusing on their “stuff” and helps them understand how much their donations help others who are in need.

Thanks to her coordination and the kindness of her clients, TRU Partnership has distributed 2 flat-screen TVs, computers, clothing, household items, and much more.

Our community is thriving and grateful for these donations!

  • Gerry and Hank Halpern

Gerry and Hank have been extremely generous donors. In addition to financial contributions, they have donated personal items and merchandise from a store they previously owned.

One of the items they donated was an old silver spoon. With their permission, we sold the spoon. We received $30 for the spoon. The magic was what we were able to do with the money.

While shopping at Goodwill the following Sunday (some items are on sale for $1 on Sundays), TRU Partnership was able to purchase 30 new men’s wool coats. The coats had been donated to Goodwill by a clothing store and still had their original price tags on them. They had previously sold for $69.99 with a comparison price of $150!

These coats were distributed just in time for the onset of cold weather.

We TRUly appreciate the support of our partners like Gerry and Hank.
